StarShip can access Customer, Order, and Ship To user defined fields from Macola. Using the Customize Interface feature in StarShip, you can map your custom user defined fields to StarShip shipment fields.
When shipping against Customers, only values from Customer User Defined fields are accessible. But, for shipments against Orders, all types of User Defined fields are accessible. Depending upon the version of Macola that you are using, the Macola field names may vary.
Customer User Defined Fields
There are 11 custom fields associated with the Customer. You can populate these field names in A/R tab > Customers > Maintain by opening the customer record and selecting the Extra tab.
You can map these fields for the Orders and Customer document types in Customize Interface.

Order User Defined Fields

StarShip can access the 5 User Defined fields that you populate from the OE & RMA tab – Entries > Enter Sales Orders – Select order > Extra tab.
You can map these fields for the Order document type in Customize Interface. The Macola User Defined Fields (5 fields) are named User Defined 1 – 5 in StarShip.
Item User Defined Fields
These User Defined fields are accessible from BOM & IM > Items > Maintenance – Select item > Extra tab.
You can map these fields for the Order in StarShip under the Line Item section in Customize Interface.

Customer Item Maintenance User Defined Fields
These fields are accessible from BOM & IM > Items > Maintenance – Item/Customer button – Select customer > Extra tab.
The Macola User Defined Fields (5 fields) are named Customer Item User 1 – 5 in StarShip. Fields 6 -13 are also available, but they must be added in Macola in order for them to appear on the Customer Item Maintenance screen.
Alternate Address User Defined Fields
These fields are accessible from the A/R tab > Customers > Maintain – Select customer > Addresses tab – Select address > Extra tab. They are not used when shipping to the default address. See also: Alternate Addresses – Orders
