After you Ship/Process a shipment, StarShip writes shipment detail back to the Fishbowl Online Sales Order. Shipment information is written back depending upon your setup for the Fishbowl Setting “When a shipment is processed in StarShip against a Fishbowl Sales Order“.
StarShip is set to “Do not change the Sales Order Status”
If the Fishbowl Setting above is set to not update the Sales Order Status, the following write-back occurs to the Sales Order:
Freight
Freight will write back to the Items on the Sales Order in a new Miscellaneous Sale row named “StarShip Freight”.
Notes
The shipment information defined in the Notes Settings will write back to the Notes field on the Details tab of the Sales Order.
StarShip is set to “Create a Fishbowl Shipment”
There are three options in Fishbowl Settings for creating the Fishbowl Shipment when you process a shipment against a Sales Order in StarShip. If one of these is selected, StarShip will create a Fishbowl Shipment and update the Shipment status.
Freight
Freight will write back to the Items in the Carton field for each package.
Shipment Status
Depending upon how you set up Write-Back in Fishbowl Settings, StarShip will create a Shipment and set the Shipment Status to “Open”, “Packed”, or “Shipped”.
Custom Write-Back to Sales Orders
