Package Contents Usage

We have provided some example scenarios to show you the different ways you can use the Package Contents functionality in StarShip. Here are a few common scenarios to explain how Package Contents works.

Items Packed into Packaging in Acumatica

This scenario illustrates what happens when your Acumatica Shipment contains items that are packed in Acumatica and then imported into StarShip.

  1. In Acumatica, on the Packages tab of the Shipment, add items to packages. Note that the Box IDs must match the Box IDs set up in StarShip. Save the Shipment.
  2. In StarShip, import the Shipment. The boxes from Acumatica display in the Packaging section and the individual items display in the Line Items section of the Shipment Editor.
  3. Expand the Packaging section to view items in the packages or make any changes.
  4. After you Ship/Process the Shipment in StarShip, you can return to the Acumatica Shipment to view write-back. On the Packages tab, click the Refresh Packages button. The Tracking Number column for each package is updated on the Packages tab.

Items Imported from Acumatica without Packaging

This scenario shows importing loose (unpackaged) items from an Acumatica Shipment into StarShip.

  1. After saving the Shipment in Acumatica, import it into StarShip. In the Shipment Editor, expand the Packaging section, add packages, and drag the items into the packages.
  2. After you Ship/Process in StarShip, open the Shipment in Acumatica to view write-back. On the Packages tab, click the Refresh Packages button. The StarShip packages and package contents are written back, and the Tracking Number is updated for each package.
