QuickBooks Online Write-Back

After a Sales Receipt or Invoice is shipped, StarShip will write back the shipment information to QuickBooks Online.

Write-back is based on how the settings are configured in QuickBooks Online Settings and Custom Write-Back Setup.

Shipment Detail

StarShip writes the Ship Via, Shipping Date, and Tracking no. back to QuickBooks.

The freight charge is written back to the Shipping field.

Notes Write-Back

Notes write-back is configured in QuickBooks Online Settings.

Sales Receipts

Depending upon the way you set up write-back, StarShip will write the shipment notes back to “Message displayed on sales receipt” or the “Message displayed on statement”.

This example shows write-back to the statement message:

Invoices

Depending upon your setup choices for write-back, StarShip will write the Shipment Notes back to the “Message displayed on invoice” or the “Message displayed on statement”.

If you set up QuickBooks Online Settings to do so, StarShip will check one or both of those options for you automatically when you process a shipment, and uncheck them if you void a shipment.

The “Print Later” check box is checked (or unchecked) on the Sales Receipt or Invoice, on the Print or Preview menu item.
“Send Later” check box is checked (or unchecked) on the Sales Receipt or Invoice.
