Enable Features in NetSuite

You must enable these features in NetSuite in order for StarShip to integrate. Complete these steps before you add the company in StarShip. You need a NetSuite Administrator role.

Enable features

  1. In NetSuite, go to Setup > Company > Setup Tasks > Enable Features.
  2. On the SuiteCloud tab, enable REST WEB SERVICES and OAUTH 2.0.
  3. On the Analytics tab, enable SUITEANALYTICS WORKBOOK.
  4. Click Save.

Create an integration record

  1. Go to Setup > Integration > Manage Integrations > New.
  2. Enter a name that identifies StarShip, for example StarShip.
  3. Set State to Enabled.
  4. Open the Authentication subtab.
  5. Under OAuth 2.0, check Client Credentials (Machine to Machine) Grant.
  6. Under Scope, check REST Web Services.
  7. Do not check Public Client. The Client Credentials grant does not support public clients.
  8. If NetSuite requires a Redirect URI, enter https://starship.online/.
  9. Click Save.
  10. Copy the Client ID (also shown as Consumer Key / Client ID). You will paste it into StarShip.

NetSuite Integration Record Authentication tab: Client Credentials grant, REST Web Services, Redirect URI

Important

NetSuite displays the Client ID and Client Secret only when the integration record is first created. Copy the Client ID immediately and store it securely. You do not enter the Client Secret in StarShip.

Copy the Account ID

  1. Go to Setup > Company > Company Information.
  2. Copy the Account ID.
  3. Sandbox account IDs typically end with -sb1 or _SB1 (for example 1234567-sb1). Enter the Account ID exactly as shown. StarShip accepts hyphen or underscore.

NetSuite Company Information: Account ID

Important

Use the Account ID for the NetSuite account you are configuring. A sandbox and a production account have different Account IDs, Client IDs, certificates, and Key IDs.
