To set up companies, you will need to point StarShip to the company configuration file. The configuration file is provided by the developer of the interface and must be in place before starting the setup in StarShip. It is recommended that you store the file on a network in order to keep it centralized, accessible to all StarShip machines, and to remove any risk of the file being overwritten.
The company configuration file is defined in the StarShip Connector as follows.
- Double-click the shortcut icon on your desktop to open the Connector or launch it from the Windows menu. If the Connector is already running you can launch it from the Windows system tray.
- Select the ADE/Developer Interfaces Setup tab.
- Click the Add button, then navigate to and select the company configuration file. Click Open.
- Click Save & Restart.
You can now proceed to StarShip to add your company (or companies).
