Web Services
StarShip uses A. Duie Pyle’s web services for rating, tracking, and proof of delivery. Prior to shipping, you must download a complete a short form, available from the A. Duie Pyle website:
E-mail the completed form to RFM@aduiepyle.com. You’ll receive a confirmation email from A. Duie Pyle shortly afterward. Once your account is set up with web services, you can proceed with StarShip setup.
Add the A. Duie Pyle Account
- In StarShip, select Setup > Carrier Interfaces > New Penn.
- Select the Accounts heading and click the New Account button.
- Enter the Account Information.
- Account Name: Enter a unique name to identify this account in StarShip.
- Account Number: Enter your company’s A. Duie Pyle account number or account code.
- MyPyleID: Enter the “MyPyleID” for your account.
- MyPyleID Password: Enter the password associated with this MyPyleID. The ID and Password are used to retrieve your contract rates.
- Enter the account address. You can type in your company name and address or select a Sender Address from the Address ID field to automatically populate the fields. The Sender Zip Code will be used for rating. The account address must match the address for the account number provided. If prompted, confirm whether to use the original or validated address.
- Configure Billing settings.
- Tendering Type: The choices are Call, Electronic, or Daily Pickup. StarShip will only send a pickup request to A. Duie Pyle when Electronic is selected. For the Call or Daily Pickup options, you must contact the carrier directly.
- Enable Prepaid: Check to enable a default Prepaid Billing Type.
- Default Prepaid Billing Type: This is the default Billing Type for shipments that are paid for by the shipper. You can select from Sender or any other 3PL that you set up in Maintain > 3PL. These settings affect the options available for Billing in the Transportation section of the Shipment Editor.
- If you are signed up for pallet pricing, check the “I have pallet pricing” check box. When checked, the pallet dimensions must be entered before StarShip will allow you to process the shipment.
- Click Finish. On the Accounts page, click Save.
