StarShip Setup

When you click “Apply” in Rate Quote, StarShip will write the Carrier/Service, Freight Cost, and any changes to the Address back to the Sales Order. This requires setting up a few fields in Custom Write-Back for the Sales Order.

To access Custom Write-Back Setup, select Setup > Source Interfaces > Acumatica (version), and under Interfaces, select the Customize Interface button for Sales Orders.

Ship Via

Map the Ship Via field to have StarShip write the Carrier and Service from Rate Quote back to the Sales Order. This Carrier/Service will be populated in the Ship Via field on the Shipping Settings tab.

Under the Header section, locate the Ship Via field.

  • Set Maps from to StarShip Field.
  • Select the Ship Carrier Ship Via field.
  • For On, select Rate and Ship.
  • Under Value Translations, set the translated value to Manual for all carriers you use.
  • Click Save All Maps to save your settings.

Note: In order for Freight Cost to be written back to the Sales Order, the Ship Via Calculation Method in Acumatica must be set to “Manual”.

Freight Cost

The Freight Cost will be written back to the Freight Cost field on the Totals tab of the Sales Order.

Under the Header section, locate the Freight Cost field.

  • Set Maps from to StarShip Field.
  • Select the Shipment Charges Applied Total field or to one of the StarShip charges fields.
  • For On, select Rate and Ship.
  • Click Save All Maps to save your settings.

Address Fields

Finally, map the Address Line 1, Address Line 2, City, Postal Code, State, and Country fields, selecting “On: Rate and Ship: for each field. Click Save All Maps to save your settings.

If the address is changed in StarShip, the Override flag is enabled and the address from StarShip is written back to the Shipping Settings tab > Ship-To Address on the Sales Order.

Note

Ship-To can only be written back if the Country and State are a valid pair in Configuration > Countries/States (in Acumatica).
